Our story started with a vision by our Chairman, Manuel V. Pangilinan to leverage our parent company’s telecommunications investments, diversify its sources of revenues and take advantage of the traction the Philippines was seeing as an outsourcing destination. His solution was to develop a call center arm.
In 2002, PLDT did just that. Founded by Rose Montenegro, an experienced leader in the call center and business process outsourcing business, ePLDT Ventus was born.
In the early days, ePLDT Ventus specialized in providing high value voice services for the U.S. market. Proficiency in the English language, and the ability to listen, probe, and process customer needs were the keys to the early success of the business, and they still are today.
In 2007, Rose retired from ePLDT Ventus. Helen Marquez assumed the role of President and CEO of ePLDT Ventus and today, we have more than 6,500 agents working in 8 locations processing calls on a 24x7 basis, and handling 30 campaigns simultaneously.
